| Trusting God's will to be done here on earth as it is in heaven! Amen! | | |
| Well since Angela and Autumn don't post much anymore, I thought I will share their exciting news for them. They are both proud owners of new Thai Driver's Licenses! Angela's is for five years, because she has had one before and Autumn's, (this is a first for her) is for one year! I'm very proud of both them. It took them, Dad, and another new couple here (who also got their licenses too) ALL DAY LONG! It consisted of several stops and waiting at each place, but HEY... they persevered and came back with them! You should have seen them drag in well after 5:00 p.m. Now mind you, I had stayed home with four sons and did school work, School Work, SCHOOL WORK! I couldn't believe it when they thought they were more tired than I was.
Last week we saw the Docu-drama of the life of J.O. Frazer at the Overseas Missionary Fellowship Guesthouse. This is the film that Amber helped with just before we returned to the U.S. for her wedding and furlough. She stayed in Chiang Dao week after week, coming home on the weekends. Lots of people were involved with this project and in my opinion they did a fantastic job! This man is one of the first to work with the Lisu Hilltribe people in China. The same people that about eight years later, Grandpa and Grandma Morse (along with Dad who was a baby then) worked with too. We work with this same group (Lisu) here in Thailand now! This man gave the Lisu their written script... the same we use today and the Lisu Bible is printed in! I was so touched at how God went before the Morses and how different things might have been without this godly man, his prayer warriors in England, and others planting seeds before. It is on sale in the U.S., but not sure where or how to purchase it. I do highly recommend it! Also, our own sweet Amber's name is in the credits!
On Sunday, Richard turned 17!!! We went to English speaking church on Sunday morning. We try to do this occasionally. His friend, Ben, came home with us as well as his little brother, Luke and big sister, Hannah. We have two new interns with our mission, Derry and Angela. They came home with us too. We had buy one pizza, get one free, so we had a pizza party. It was a real nice time and we had a great visit. After co-op on Monday, we went to a nice pool with several other families and the kids there, surprised him with some nice gifts too. All in all, I think he had a pretty nice birthday. This weekend, a bunch of them are planning to go paint balling! I'll try to get some pics of that.
Next week Angela starts module five in Thai studies. She just completed module four last week. On Tuesday, Autumn, Richard and Matthew, along with a few others, are going to start module one. They will be in Thai classes for three hours each morning five days a week. I think they could use lots of prayer. Please pray that the language will "click" and that they can really move forward in their communicating skills in Thai. They will be learning the alphabet as well. Its lots of squiggly lines to me. They have learned these before, but its been sometime, so should be easier, but hoping it will all "stick"!!! Meanwhile, I'll have some concentrated time with Charles and Joshua without all the other distractions. That is something these two have NEVER had from Mom with school. I'm hoping we can be more relaxed and have some fun with learning too!
We got our absentee ballots yesterday and Fed Ex sent them off to the U.S. for free. Tom rushed them to town today before they closed. I thought that was so nice of them to offer that service to American citizens here. We are very concerned for the coming elections and hope our votes make a difference! I hope all of you will be sure and vote where you are. It is such a privilege and RESPONSIBILITY that I especially feel Christians should participate in.
Well thats enough for now. Hope Angela and Autumn won't kill me for telling their news! If there is no more response for a looooong time, you can figure I've gone to be with the Lord. Sounds good to me!

| EDIT:
Ok, I got the full permission to announce it here too! AMBER AND JAKE ARE EXPECTING!!!! We are excited, just in case you couldn't tell that! That's one for Grandma, Grandpa, Auntie Angela, Auntie Autumn, Uncle Richard, Uncle Matthew, Uncle Charles, and Uncle Matthew and one just because we can't stop smiling! Now if you haven't gone... you can go to.....
Hey you guys!!!! I'm one excited lady and you'll have to check out Amber and Jake's Xanga first to find out why! I'm missing everyone and really have been planning to post..... I've been popping in and checking out your news! Lets not give up!
We are settled back into Thailand. It took awhile. I think because our furlough was such a whirlwind and we had to return too quickly, but it was essential for our visas. They say at six months, you finally settle when you move.... we'll my whole world was going into a suitcase again, when I was supposed to feel settled! Anyway, we had a GREAT time in California seeing lots of you.... not for enough time.... but HEY..... we got to meet face to face and I still rejoice in my heart for God allowing that.
We had a wonderful time at the wedding and in Sequim! We were so blessed to be with my family and take in some reunions. The wedding reception there brought in other dear friends and family members we hardly get to see. And traveling to our churches, we were so loved and so blessed! We were encouraged and praised and prayed for and it was all so WONDERFUL! We needed that reconnecting with folks and "KNOWING" we truly are not forgotten over here and we are so prayed for! I cannot thank folks or God enough for the prayers. We truly could not be here if it were not for prayer.
Leaving Amber behind was not as difficult as I imagined it to be. Of course, the heart hurts and I wouldn't let myself dwell on it, but seeing her so happy and now "knowing" all the wonderful family (the Mooneys are the GREATEST) and Christian family too.... makes it so much easier. Skype doesn't hurt the process either! God is good.... all the time. Even in the tough and rough times.... HE IS ALWAYS THERE!
As always, we can use prayer. Getting into the school routine was/is still rough.... but its coming along. Each one of us adjusting and adapting to the complete change again has to do it in their own way and time. Our flesh still raises its ugly head and the Refiner's fire is so needed, but not fun. But praise God He is faithful to discipline and teach us. So we could still use lots of prayers.
I hope this finds you all well! You are not forgotten on this side of the world! So lets keep trying to stay in touch. It means a LOT to us over here. I'm actually considering, maybe, thinking, deliberating.. about possibly trying Facebook too! (Mark, you better talk to me or I might succomb! ) Can't hardly stand to think I'm missing out on something there that I need to see and know!
Love and blessings to you all! I know you are rejoicing with us too. (Hint: after you see the news!)

| Hey Everyone! We had a great weekend in Knoxville, Tennessee this past weekend. We stayed with a lovely couple who just welcomed us with open arms and warm hugs! "Grandma Mary" and "Grandpa Gordon" will always be remembered by us! We visited one of our supporting churches and Jake and Amber sent us a trial promo that needs a bit of polishing, that we got to show for the first time! We had such a good time and felt so loved! A group from the church took us for a wonderful Chinese Food Buffet for Sunday lunch. Before leaving Knoxville, we visited the Bible College that I graduated from in 1976!!! Johnson Bible College has changed so much! The campus is even more beautiful than when I attended. We got to see two different couples that have so faithfully supported us over the years and talk with two others by phone. I always love coming to Tennessee!!!
On Monday afternoon we headed for Nashville. We learned that dear friends from Thailand, Tom and Alicia Hovies live right along the way. We stopped by the interstate at their exit and Tom and his daughter, Mary Beth, met us at the gas station. Someone in their Memorial Day family gathering had a "GPS" and they brought us the exact directions that we needed to arrive at our destination in Nashville. Alicia had to work that day, so we have made plans to stay with them after our conference ends on Friday. God is so good to connect us with so many dear people that we love.
This week are attending the ATI Training Conference at the Nashville Training Center and some meetings are at a nearby local church! I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful the fellowship has been and the meetings are so rich and full of good teachings!!! He knew how we needed this! Soon will be the hard part.... putting it into practice!
Angela is teaching Pre-Excel girls, Richard is enjoying being called Mr. Richard or Mr. Richie by the Children's Institute attendees, which are the younger children. Autumn and Matthew will be in he Apprenticeship Choir, which will perform on Friday evening. They are also attending classes for this age group. Charles and Joshua were thrilled today with all the Alert Cadet activities. Tom and I are becoming recharged and convicted by the teachings for the Moms and Dads. Its been so so good!
Saturday afternoon we will head back to Indiana and Tom will be preaching at Popcorn Christian Church (that is really its name! on Sunday morning! Sorry I don't have pictures, I'll try to edit some in later!
That's our news for now! Blessings to you all! | | |
